I actually bought a tortilla press and Maseca to make my own corn tortillas last year, and it was a disaster. I want to try it again, because tacos make me happy, but I'm skittish.

(fwiw, the base recipe of your dhal is such a standby in this house that I wind up making it around every two weeks. I put a lot more stuff in it than I did at first, but I eat it for breakfast at times. I will sweat curry forever.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943969467230628094.post-67276307359966774992013-01-11T09:43:42.937-08:002013-01-11T09:43:42.937-08:00if you warm the tortillas in a dry skillet, or a s...if you warm the tortillas in a dry skillet, or a skilled wiped with a little oil, they will be more flexible. Since moving back to Cali, I eat a lot of corn tortillas. They are lower carb that flour( although I found some low carb flour tortillas recently) and I love the homemade ones. At our Mexican markets, we can get a bag of 100 for 2.00. I also make Migas, I rip up 2 corn tortillas and cook them in a dry skillet, then add veggies and eggs and cheese and mix it all together. It looks gross, but its so delicious and filling. Randihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06706134539834283798noreply@blogger.com
